Carla's Bio

Carla Collins is a renowned and beloved award-winning actress who has worked extensively as a television host, radio personality and model. A gifted stand-up comedian, Carla’s hysterical, new documentary series “Carlawoood” is a huge hit in Canada where she is known as the “Queen of Comedy”.

Carla just finished shooting the sketch comedy pilot “The National Banana Show” for Jerry (Airplane!) Zucker. She can also be seen in the upcoming B movie parody “Bitch Slap” as a bride assassin.


In Los Angeles, Carla is a regular at The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store and the liquor store.

Carla is the host of “Celebrity Meltdown”, a hilarious show from ComedyTime where she lovingly skewers all the stars and everything trendy. You can watch her in action on Hulu and ChickComedy.

Carla’s new stage show “Third Eye Blonde” is a hit with both audiences and critics alike. In the show, Carla plays herself and her three wacky but loveable spirit guides.
Her one-hour comedy special “The Wonderbra Years” is one of the highest-rated in CTV’s Comedy Now series and was the recipient of the Gold Award at the Houston Comedy Festival.


Carla is currently writing her first book entitled “Angels, Vampires and Douche Bags” a comedic motivational tome for Burman Books.

 

Carla likes to give back to the community, and has been recognized for her work supporting charities such as the Hospital for Sick Children, the Humane Society, the Think Pink campaign for Breast Cancer awareness, the Children's Aid Society, the United Way, and CAMFAR.

Carla currently lives in Malibu with her actor husband and wonder dogs Buster & Dr Zira. She practices yoga, Kabbalah and has fake breasts. She is now officially just one adopted African baby and one stint in rehab away from being a complete Hollywood cliché.
